Naïve and innocent Lila navigates the unfamiliar and intimidating terrain of the campus health clinic, her nerves already frayed at the prospect of the annual requirement. As she sits anxiously in the cold, sterile exam room, the reality of her situation begins to sink in. The severe Dr. Hoffman’s crisp demeanor and the nurse’s gentle instructions do little to assuage Lila’s growing unease as she is subjected to a series of invasive and humiliating procedures.
